Josh Can Help was born from a random and exciting idea to help someone I know build a website to promote his business. I had not completed one whole page before I realized that this was something I really enjoyed and wanted to continue doing. As an excuse to build another site, I promptly started on my own homepage. The domain name, joshcanhelp.com, popped into my head one day and I grabbed it before thinking twice. Good thing it turned out to be a good one.

I won’t go off about how great my designs are (aesthetics are relative), how great my code is (the validator will tell you), or how effective my methods are (the blog is there for a reason). What I will say is that I take a huge amount of pride in what I do and take my reputation, both personal and public, very seriously.
As such, everything I make is to the best of my ability using the most modern techniques I’m aware of. I’m very pragmatic in both design and development which makes for compliant, accessible sites and emails that load quickly and work across many browsers. I stay current on search engine optimization, front-end coding techniques, and social technology to create sites that will last.
I’m also a huge proponent of staying in close contact during a project. I don’t like doing things twice and the best way to avoid that is to always look for ways to improve communication. Once the project is complete, I’m always here to answer questions, look for improvements and explain the technology in place. I like great client relationships so I do everything I can to foster them.
This isn’t all about me though…

Despite the somewhat egocentric name, Josh Can Help is just a way to say that I have a hand in everything that is produced. I find it comforting to work with a company where I know who is accountable and can speak to them directly. Most of the time, I’m the strategist, designer, and builder. But if I’m not, I’m still the guy to call.
I’m a big fan of transparent processes so you’ll always be aware of what is going on, who is involved, and what to expect. I work with other people whenever I can and always look for the best person for the job, whomever that may be. At the end of the day, however, that phone number and that email address still comes straight to me.
On that note…

I enjoy every piece of the web strategy puzzle but I’m not the best person for every job. As such, I’m always looking for new people to work with and learn from. I work with very talented graphic designers, print designers, hardcore developers, writers, editors, and marketing strategists and love to give them work.
If you’re a company looking for someone to handle a piece of your puzzle, I’m always on the hunt for great teams to join for a project. If you’re a freelance designer, web programmer, or online marketing guru that wants to join my referral network (sounds important huh? It means you’re in my Google contacts), shoot me a line and tell me what you’re great at and what you like to do.
